The admission only applies to the coastguard plane and runs until 31 December 2030 at the latest. A maximum of 600 flight movements are permitted annually. Only in the case of emergency interventions at sea can be deviated from the rule after 2030. By then a lead -free device is expected.
According to air models, the lead emissions remain well below the European health bumps. Even in the vicinity of sensitive locations such as schools or residential care centers, there is no noticeable impact according to experts. The environmental effects are estimated as “acceptable”.
