The second -home stay on the coast is again under fire. A new judgment raises serious questions about the survival of the tax that cough up more than one hundred thousand second -stayers. Nevertheless, the mayors of Middelkerke, Ostend and Blankenberge make it clear: whoever owns a second stay at the sea will continue to pay. “If necessary, I just come up with a different tax,” says Middelkerk’s mayor Jean-Marie Dedecker.
