The German Football League awards all 36 clubs for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Shortly before the deadline, Hannover 96 solved an important personnel question.

The German Football League (DFL) has granted all 36 sporty clubs a license for the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga. The umbrella organization announced the decision of the licensing committee for the 2025/26 season in the morning. “In autumn, the clubs have to document their economic performance again for the ongoing season 2025/26,” said the message.

Hannover 96 had solved his managing director problem in good time before the licensing period.

Mann and Bindzus, who had previously worked for Hamburger SV, competed in their new tasks a few hours before the deadline on March 17th. So the club was able to submit the necessary application to the DFL.

In the sense of a fair competition, the league checks, among other things, financial, sporting and legal criteria as well as “criteria in relation to stadiums, sustainability and the Virtual Bundesliga”.
