In search of reinforcements for the coming season in the Bundesliga, the 1st FC Cologne could find what they are looking for in Turkey.

As the Turkish daily “Sabah” reports, Ismail Yükek from Fenerbahce is on the note of the 1. FC Köln.

Shachtar Donetsk and Olympique Marseille are called other interested parties.

Only about two months ago, Yükek extended his contract with Fenerbahce by 2028. A change of the 26 -year -old defensive midfielder to Effzeh therefore seems quite unlikely.

Financially, a transfer would hardly be to be lifted, the market value of the 23-time Turkish international is twelve million euros.

Ismail Yüksek has been under contract with Fenerbahce since 2020. After various borrowing, it is regularly running for the Turkish top club in summer 2022.

In the 2024/2025 season, the midfielder was on the pitch 30 times. After several injuries, he had lost his regular place in the course of the season.

Yükek was associated with a farewell to Fenerbahce a year ago. VfB Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen are said to have stretched out the sensors at the time. The rumors did not specifically.

Does Martel leave 1. FC Köln?

With ísak Jóhannesson, who comes from Fortuna Düsseldorf, 1. FC Köln has already signed a midfielder. Nevertheless, further reinforcements could be necessary.

With Eric Martel there is currently only a real six in the Effzeh squad. The U21 international’s contract only runs until 2026. If you do not agree on an extension, a sale could still be due this summer.

But before the 1. FC Köln signs new player, the coaching question should first be clarified. The change from Lukas Kwasniok from SC Paderborn recently took on more and more concrete forms. According to “Sky”, the 43-year-old convinced the bosses of the Domstadt-based company at a meeting on Sunday evening.
