Danny Devito in conversation with Colin Farrell remembered the shooting Batman Return With “goddess” Michelle Pfeiffer. The actor played Oswald Cobblepot, alias of the penguin, alongside Pfeiffer’s Selina Kyle (alias Catwoman) Tim Burton Film from 1992.

“I loved working on the film and I loved working with Tim, and I enjoyed the whole idea of Oswald so much,” said Devito at the time opposite Entertainment Weekly. “At first I hesitated a little to make the comic, but then I realized that I was always a big fan of Michelle Pfeiffer and the penguin obviously desires Catwoman. So I thought I brought them together, and then it was also in the middle of the pandemic that we still have to struggle. I thought it was good if the penguin had a bit of Robin.”
Colin Farrell as a new Oswald
Farrell plays Oswald in the Max series “The Penguin”, their first season had a premiere last year. The series created by Lauren Lefranc is a continuation of the new “Batman saga”, which with Matt Reeves’ The Batman started with Robert Pattinson.
