Zelenski reports invitation for Ukraine at NATO summit in The Hague

The Ukrainian President Zelenski states that Ukraine has been invited to the NATO summit in three weeks, report news site Ukrainska Pravda and the German news agency DPA. The president still leaves the middle whether he will personally travel to The Hague or whether his country is represented at a lower level.

“We are invited to the NATO summit,” Zelenski told journalists after a conversation with NATO CEO Mark Rutte in Vilnius. “I think that’s important.” Foreign Minister Andri Sybiha has the task of preparing the meeting.

Ukraine is not a member of NATO, but Zelenski has joined the peaks in recent years to talk about the war with Russia. This year, uncertainty has arisen about the way Ukraine can be present, because the Americans would feel little for the arrival of Zenski under President Donald Trump. According to NATO sources, no so-called NATO-Ukraine council will take place.
