Europe’s largest purchasing network recognizes special sustainability engagement: As part of a unique cooperation, the German professional seller Boris Herrmann from the Malizia team and the successful family company Olymp Bezner KG from Bietigheim-Bissingen (district of Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany) have been bundling their commitment to sustainability since 2022. Now this energy has been recognized with the catag sustainability prize.
As a global family company, Olymp also takes on global responsibility. The sustainability program is based on three strong columns and has an eye on the entire business: From increasing use of sustainable raw materials to the implementation of social and environmental standards along the supply chain and active climate protection at the company headquarters. The fashion provider is involved in numerous initiatives, associations and organizations that work for a more sustainable textile industry. Among other things, Olympus is a Fair Wear Multi-Stakeholder initiative.
Katag AG, based in Bielefeld (North Rhine-Westphalia), is Europe’s largest fashion service and shopping cooperation for medium-sized fashion houses. It supports around 350 trading partners with services in the areas of purchasing, IT, marketing and logistics and acts as a link between industry and trade. On the occasion of a top-class event, the Katag chef taking place in Bielefeld every year, prices for outstanding services in the categories of urban development, best supplier, corporate culture, dealer of the year and sustainability were awarded on May 27, 2025. The expert jury is composed of the Katag board. The jury recognizes the holistic approach of Olympus, which not only aims at product development, but also to the entire value chain. Olympus thus sets standards in the fashion industry and shows that economic success and ecological responsibility can go hand in hand.

Ambassador of the ambitious product sustainability of Olympus Under the sustainability label Green Choice is Boris Herrmann, skipper from the Malizia team. With him Olympus not only has a multi-award-winning professional sailing athlete at his side. Boris Herrmann was the first German in 2020 to take part in the prestigious Vendée Globe, which is considered the hardest one -handed regatta in the world and in which he set sail for the second time in November 2024.
