In the second match of the Greek Basketball League Play-Off semi-final series, Panathinaikos was defeated 91-83 on the road to his arch rival Olympiakos. With this result, the series came to equality 1-1. After the match Panathinaikos Başantrenörü Ergin Ataman’s statements marked the agenda.
Ataman, who uses harsh expressions after the match, reacted greatly to what happened: “This is a circus! In this environment, sports is not done. Nobody can swear to my country, Türkiye,” he said, the experienced coach, did not remain silent against the events.
Ataman said in a statement: “They can insult me, Panathinaikos’a … But never to Türkiye! This is why I got the second technical foul.”
