Intense development by Moto Guzzi, dedicated to adhering also to the requests of the Corazzieri, allowed the House of Mandello to propose to the public, in 1967, the Moto Guzzi V7 Speciala model capable of cut clearly with the past through, in fact, new abundant shapes and a constructive motor scheme other than all the others. Equipped with a Bicil -cylinder engine with large cubic transversal V (703 cc) designed by the engineer Giulio Cesare Carcano, the Moto Guzzi V7 Special was capable of not extreme performance but still bright thanks to its 40 HP. The new motor architecture proved extraordinary for rationality and robustness, so much so that thanks to this model the myth of the transversal twin cylinder was born which still identifies Moto Guzzi all over the world today and which makes them different from any other manufacturer. The V7 Special was chosen by the Corazzieri who used it from 1968 to 1975, the year in which it was replaced with the V1000 convertwhose story lasted a decade on duty.
