The nineteenth stage of the Giro d’Italia is the alpine tapone made of only climbs and descents. At km 4 first ascent as the Serra Croce to enter the Dora Baltea valley. Short false until Verrès and then three long climbs of about 15 km each without breath. The Col Tzecore (with long sections over 12% in the last 4 km), the Col de St.Pantaléon and the Col de Joux are climbed. After the descent on Brusson, the last part always begins to go up with the transition from Antagnod (slopes up to 11%) which ends 5 km from the arrival. After Antagnod, the descent begins at first Blanda up to 3 km where the slope increases to end with some hairpin bends at the last kilometer in the center of Champoluc. At the last kilometer a stretching stretch begins which ends at 400 m from the arrival, all slightly ascent. Final fee of 80 m on asphalt width 7 m
