There was actually never a ‘real’ final in Almere. From the first second it was clear that HV Aalsmeer was a size too big today. At the break, the difference in power was already huge: 17-10 in favor of Aalsmeer. “I didn’t expect this. I thought we were very good with good coverage and a good keeper behind it,” was the commentary of Aalsmeer coach Wai Wong afterwards.

The men of Wai Wong happily continued to score in the second half and that was also reflected in the score. With fifteen minutes to play, the difference was even enlarged to 10 points: 27-17. It ensured that the focus on both teams already went towards Sunday. Then the second final match for the national title is on the program.
