Vaasan Sport announced on Thursday that he had signed a two -year contract with a French striker Charles Bertrand with.
The 34-year-old striker returns to the Finnish Champions League after a three-year break. Bertrand has previously represented Lock, TPS, Sport, Ace, Fly and Tappara in the League. He made his league debut already in 2010-2011.
For the previous three seasons, Bertrand hockeyed in Erc Ingolstadt, Germany’s highest league level.
Sport’s Sports Director Ari-Pekka Pajuluoma is pleased with the return of the returnee in Sport.
– It’s great to get Kalle back to Vaasa. We had a desire to get Kalle Sport because he is primarily a top athlete, but also as a human being in and outside the booth. With his own experience and example, he certainly brings to the booth with a lot of understanding what kind of things to win in everyday life to get the best of ourselves as a team.
Bertrand is part of the French national team’s standard equipment. Bertrand, who played six games at this spring’s World Cup, missed the power points in the tournament.
