Spectacular images show how large part of glacier near Swiss village breaks blats

A large part of the beich glacier near the Swiss village of Blatten collapsed on Wednesday afternoon. The Alpendorp in the Canton Valais, on the border with Italy, was buried under the rubble. The 300 inhabitants were already evacuated last week, after the risk of collapse had increased sharply due to a landslide.
