The budget for the national termination scheme for livestock locations (LBV) for smaller sectors is raised by 78 million euros. This means that a total of 128 million euros is available for entrepreneurs with goats, veal calves, other cattle, meat ducks and rabbits who want to voluntarily terminate their business. The scheme was over -signed, but thanks to the increase, all applicants who meet the conditions can still use the scheme.
The LBV for smaller sectors was open from November 18, 2024 to December 20, 2024, with a budget of € 50 million. The scheme was overtaken within one day. As a result, 65 applications were still awaiting extra budget to date. The Cabinet believes it is important that entrepreneurs who have taken the radical decision to submit an application for a termination scheme (and meet the conditions) can actually participate. In the decision -making concerning the Spring Memorandum 2025, resources have been released for the elevation of the budget of the LBV for smaller sectors. The European Commission has the elevation of the budget Approved on May 22, 2025so that the adjusted arrangement can now be published.

The adjusted regulation is expected to be published in the Government Gazette within two weeks. After that, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) can start issuing the positive decisions as soon as possible to the entrepreneurs who are currently waiting for further message about their application. This process is expected to take a few weeks.
