No release, but 17-year-old to the concluded institution: Court of Appeal Reformts decision of the juvenile judge

The Ghent Court of Appeal has decided that a 17-year-old delinquent must nevertheless be included in a closed institution. The juvenile judge had previously reached the same conclusion, but was forced to release the boy under strict conditions because there was no room in the institutions. “Implementing such measures is the responsibility of the executive power, not the juvenile judge.”
