Former top skier Matti Heikkinen41, has found a new job.
He announced that he had started as Sales Director at GRK Suomi Oy on May 8th on May 8th.
Heikkinen previously worked as the leader of the Finnish Olympic Committee for the Top Sports Unit, but was able to give way to his mission last September after the past Paris Olympics.
GRK Suomi Oy is an infrastructure construction company that is part of the International GRK Group. It builds infrastructure in the Nordic countries and the Baltic countries. On its website, the company advertises that it is “one of the leading infrastructure companies in Finland”.
For example, GRK is involved in building a fixed connection to Hailuoto in Northern Ostrobothnia.
Heikkinen was elected to the Olympic Committee’s head of the top sports unit in the summer of 2022. However, a four-year fixed-term wash ended after just over two years.
In his sports career, Heikkinen achieved one World Championship gold and three bronze medals. Oslo’s 2011 gold skiing, in particular, has remained in the minds of Finns. Heikkinen was not the pre -favorites of the competition, but a ski to victory on a “slice of the day”.
