Joan de Zwart-Bloch (1959) starts her new position on 5 June. She takes over from Nanning Mol, who stops after five and a half years as mayor Van Laren. The VVD member leaves for the larger Dordrecht, where he also proceeds as mayor.

In March Mol was still nominated by the Laren city council for a second term. “Nanning has become a real Laarder and we have faith in a second term for him,” said Karel Loeff, chairman of the committee then.

Work and Private

De Zwart-Bloch remains acting mayor of Laren to the village officially completed the vacancy.

The driver is no stranger in ‘t Gooi. From 2008 to 2023 she was already mayor of Blaricum. She stopped that job because she wanted a better balance between work and private life.
