Sveindis Jonsdottir from VfL Wolfsburg will be trained by still Bavaria coach Alexander Straus in the future.
Like the Munich football coach, the 23-year-old Icelandic international changes to the US Club Angel City FC in Los Angeles for the new season.
There, the transfer -free offensive player signed a contract until 2027, as the team from the professional league NWSL announced.
“I want to be part of something great that changes women’s football, and that’s why I chose Angel City,” said Jonsdottir according to the announcement. “I want to win titles and I know that this is also the goal of Angel City.”
From VfL, where it has been under contract since the beginning of 2021, Jonsdottir had already said goodbye two weeks ago.
Overall, she made 92 competitive games for the team from Lower Saxony, in which she scored 23 goals. In 2022 Jonsdottir won the championship with the club, three times she won the DFB Cup.
