The German team sports specialist Jako becomes the official supplier of the 1st Eintracht Spandau EV and thus supports the promotion of women’s football and youth work.
Eintracht Spandau already made a name for itself in the world of e-sports at games such as League of Legends and with the streamer Maximilian Knabe-alias “Handofblood”. But the team is already active on the physical lawn and played at the German indoor football tournament Baller League, in which well-known internet personalities, athletes: interior and musicians are involved.
Now the next step was taken with the official foundation of the club, in which it is supported by the Hohenloher sporting goods, Jako said on Wednesday. The company provides the association to team clothes and equipment and supports it with its expertise in the club.
“Associations take on a central social function – they create community, promote commitment and enable young people to develop sporty and personally,” said Tobias Röschl, board member marketing and sales at Jako. “That is why Jako is a real concern to accompany the 1st Eintracht Spandau eV from the start.”
The Eintracht Spandau EV relies on a model of democratic participation and wants to involve people in Germany and especially in Spandau, explains Hendrik Ruhe, Managing Director of Eintracht Spandau GmbH, who is also a board of the EV. This is a counter -draft towards the trend in professional sports, in which “clubs are increasingly shaping shares and control to investor: inside and corporations”.
Cooperations with local schools and social institutions as well as community events are planned. The first youth and girls teams are also in preparation.
