A 19-year-old motorist who only recently got his driver’s license had to hand it in on Thursday evening after a mad ride through Roosendaal.
An officer had seen the man driving at high speed through Burgemeester Freijterslaan around five o’clock in the afternoon. The car was rented in Germany. The officer approached the man and asked him to drive normally on the public road. The man was then allowed to drive on.
More than 200 kilometers per hour
But a few hours later it turned out that the man hadn’t really cared about this conversation. He was again caught for traffic violations and unsafe driving.
He overtook, among other things, on the right and drove at speeds of more than 200 kilometers per hour on the Antwerpseweg. There is a maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The man was then arrested.
