According to UEFA’s statement, the format of EURO 2028 qualifiers was determined at the board meeting in Bilbao, Spain.
In the new format, the landlords of the Euro 2028, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales decided to participate in qualifiers.
Countries will compete in 12 groups of 4 or 5 groups.
Group leaders and the top 8 groups will receive EURO 2028 tickets. The remaining 4 quotas will be distributed among the homeland countries and play-offs with the best ranking of the groups.
Euro 2028 will be held on 9 June-9 July 2028 with the participation of 24 teams.
