Singer Mr. Ylppö, 52, confirms to Iltalehti that he had divorced his spouse. The new phase of life includes sadness, but also a masculine renovation in Tampere.
Vocalist Mr. Ylppö52, has divorced his spouse after five years of relationship.
According to the singer, the decision came together a couple of weeks ago. The former couple has a common three -year -old child. Ylpö also has two older children from their previous relationship.
According to Ylpö, the couple moved apart half a year ago and tried to fix problems in their relationship while living separately. However, it did not bring a solution to the problems.
– There is no dispute or cheating there, but we drifted very far from each other. As agreed, we came to this solution, Ylppö tells Iltalehti.
– This causes me sadness and those feelings have to go through.
According to Ylpö, he lives as an artist on the terms of his own projects and in his spare time he gives all his attention to his three children. In that equation, there is very little time for the partner.
– My spouse said well that it is difficult to live with me because with me that spouse is never number one, he explains.
– I have autistic features, so I go deep, whether it’s making a movie, music or painting. So I’m a lot in my own worlds.
In relationships, the spouse does not always show that Ylppö is interested in another’s life and activities.
– It doesn’t appear outward, even though I’m interested. I keep things inside me. For another, I feel like I’m not interested, he is annoyed.
According to his own words, Ylppö has nothing to do with his characteristics. Otherwise, he says he is often lost. The artist who was currently working on a new album had to check on Spotify himself because he last released music.
– And then it came, that’s the time. I’ve been in my own bubble, he admits.
The most important thing for an ex-couple is to take care of their common child.
– Children go past art, they are always the most important thing. Children should never suffer from the divorce. First, the children’s feelings are taken into account, and then only their own feelings, Ylppö emphasizes.
The power of life
The singer says he is gaining strength from doing and action. That, too, has helped with the recent divorce that he experienced a similar big quake after he left his previous long relationship.
– Then I took the difference so hard that I went to the loading plant, so to speak. Now is a different situation. I feel sad and intense anxiety, but I feel like I do it. Time to heal wounds, he believes.
The most important thing is to give yourself time to recover.
The end of the relationship has not been bitter, on the contrary.
– I believe that love will never end, it just changes. I still love all my former female friends at some level and I have a good relationship with them, Ylppö says.
– I have ended up with a little difference: I’m a very family -oriented person for whom the family does not fit. It’s a tragedy of my life. And the difference is basically a good thing, because they are happy, the right people don’t differ, he adds.
In the summer, the musician intends to organize a barbecue party in his detached house, which will ask his former female friends, their current spouse and all their children.
In the renovation
In a new life situation, Ylpö has no shortage of things to do. He is currently renovating his old detached house.
– I was trapped for two apartments of the year. We lived in a block of flats in Nokia and I had this detached house in Tampere that I tried to sell. It was financially heavy, I got bad offers. Now I’m happy that the house did not go on sale.
After walking into the old house, Ylppö felt a nice feeling of familiarity.
– I was wondering why I even wanted to get out of here. This is this classic that a Finnish man is divorced and begins to renovate. This is a pin with friends, he laughs.
– I already moved the home studio here.
This summer, Mr. Ylppö is giggling moderately: there will be ten gigs across Finland. Known as a singer for Maj Karma and Mr. Ylppö & People, the man is waiting to meet the audience in live situations.
One of the highlights of the summer is also Kronos Kairos premiere at the Sodankylä Film Festival.
