The Israeli international Gadi Kinda died at the age of 31. The football association of Israel announced the death of the midfielder. “Israeli football has not only lost a talented player, but also a loved one and valued people,” said a post of the association at X.
Israeli media reported that Kinda suffered from a serious illness. The news page “Ynet” reported that he was last treated in a hospital. Which disease he suffered was not known. Kinda was married and had two daughters, the report said. Kinda was born in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa as the son of Jewish parents. As a child, he moved to Israel with his family. He played at FC Ashdod and Beitar Jerusalem, switched to Sporting Kansas City in the USA and was most recently under contract with Maccabi Haifa. He completed ten missions for Israel’s national team.
The chairman of the Israeli Football Association, Zuaretz mosque, showed himself dismayed: “The mind refuses to understand, her heart hurts and the eyes of tears in the face of the news of the death of our dear Gadi Kinda,” said a message from the association.
