Frank Buschmann shot a little over the destination at the second division conference at Sky. He received criticism on social media. Now he was expressed.
After Cologne’s third goal had fallen, Buschmann joined the club’s goal anthem at the microphone. The 60-year-old sang clearly audibly: “Kölle Alaaf, Alaaf! Kölle Alaaf.” The scene was broadcast live and caused criticism, especially on social media. One user wrote, for example: “My face is embarrassing. He can’t neutral reporting anyway. But now also sing along the goal anthem?”
One day after the transmission, Buschmann spoke himself up. On his Instagram channel, the commentator first thanked for the support of his fans in heated debates about his work. Then he went into the scene from the game: “Every fart is often made a big bunch,” said Buschmann. Singing along was an example of this.
He explained: ” – how did I put it – the Gäfe went through with me because I was immersed in this atmosphere. Everything was long clear, FC rises.” The fact that the mood was carried away may have been unprofessional. “That’s why I apologized to the next overview, with the fans of Kaiserslautern, for whom it might have worked a bit strange,” said Buschmann. He also emphasized: “I’m not a fan of Cologne, I’m a fan of emotions.”
