André Hazes Jr. is overtaken left and right by all kinds of fellow artists who score big hits, while he is no longer in the charts. “There are now various e-mails in the world.”
It is a worrying development for André Hazes: thanks to Yvonne Coldeweijer, he was the most discussed star of our country for a while, but his musical turning that followed flopped mercilessly. And where he once considered a big musical promise, he is now overtaken left and right by all kinds of new names such as Yves Berendse.
Old repertoire
Does the star of André go out? It could just be, because his desired TV career is not yet successful: his reality series with Mart Hoogkamer has been completely sabbed down by critics.
Bram Koning, the copywriter who was dumped hard by André but was behind his big hits of the past, reveals in the Weekend: “He is so looking for a certain music style that really suits him. But he doesn’t think so at the moment. Now they want to go back to his old repertoire.”
‘Mail around’
How does Bram know that? “There have been e-mails to various composers and copywriters with the request to write songs in the lines of Leef, who can tell me, but also sweet, salt, sour. In short: party bangers. We have not had that e-mail as the only party.”
Too bad, he thinks so. “We are waiting for him with open arms! What has been, has been. I will still do my best for him.”
Non-info
Bram strongly advises André to stop with all those uninhibited and simply concentrate on craft making music. “Scoring a hit and going to perform-then everything flows in as usual. And also a little less posts on Instagram, because it’s really too much. Why do you film everything and put all this non-info online?”
“It is becoming compulsive, as much as he posts every day,” he finally sniffs.
