Shicolenko, who died at the age of 60, is remembered as the country’s top name in spear throwing.
In 1995, Gothenburg became the biggest victory in his career, the World Cup gold. The world championship came off with a 67.56 -meter throw. In the same race the World Cup bronze won Finland Mikaela Ingberg.
