Marmoush awards penalty

The former DFB captain Ilkay Gündogan was substituted in the final phase (88th). The former Frankfurter Omar Marmoush missed a penalty (36th) for the favorite, who did not lose his superiority into goals and lost for the seventh time in the 14th FA Cup final of the club history.

The 1-0 for Palace, which was dramatically in the final in 1990 and 2016 Manchester United had failed, fell out of the blue by counterattack. City ran and called for a dismissal against Dean Henderson. The goalkeeper was striker Erling towards Haaland and had played the ball with his hand in front of the Norwegian – outside the penalty area, but without consequences (23rd).

After a foul by Tyrick Mitchell to Bernardo Silva, Haaland left the Ball Marmoush, which failed from the point to Henderson. In the second half, Palace cheered again (58th), but Daniel Muñoz was offside. In added time, City’s outgoing playmaker Kevin de Bruyne missed the balance.

Large excitement about not given red card

There had been great excitement in the middle of the first section of the game when Crystal keeper Dean Henderson fisted the ball from Erling Haaland at a counterattack by the Citizens, but clearly did this outside of the penalty area: a clear reason for a field reference. But the video referee did not see a violation of a rule – the game continued without punishment.

In the BBC, Wayne Rooney, former striker of Man United, said that Crystal Palace goalkeeper should have been sent out of the square and demanded the abolition of the video detection assistant. “This is a red card, 100 percent a red card”said Rooney, “Haaland is about to hit the ball around his ears, but he beats the ball away”. Ian Wright, former striker of Crystal Palace, described the decision on the ITV television station as “crazy”.
