The Radio Drenthe program Karstival is all about the Eurovision Songfestival this afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Especially for this broadcast, René Karst presents the show together with his sister Erika. With the Karst family, they watch all the Songfestival from an early age. “Then we sat together with the pajamas,” says Erika. “My father normally had the TV for politics or sport, but he never had anything to say that day.”
René is also a big fan of the song festival, but it is mainly Erika who always looks forward to it. “I’m really not good, but I can’t do anything about it. I always say: January, February, March, April, Songfestival, June, July, and so on,” she jokes.
In Karstival, René and Erika both come with their top 3, they will call Jan Dulles from the 3Js and of course they play a lot of songs from the Songfestival.
