FC Augsburg will say goodbye to four professionals before the last Bundesliga game against 1st FC Union Berlin. While the loaned midfielder Frank Onyeka (27) returns to his regular club FC Brentford, the contracts by offensive player Fredrik Jensen (27) and central defender Reece Oxford (26) are not extended. Right -back Raphael Framberger, on the other hand, ends his active career at the age of 29.

Framberger has been active for the Fuggerstadt residents since he was eighth and celebrated his professional debut in January 2017. In total, he was 89 times on the lawn for the Augsburgers. Framberger kept struggling with injuries, after the third cruciate ligament rupture is now over. He played his last assignment two years ago during a loan at SV Sandhausen. Framberger is preserved for the FCA and completes a trainee training in which he goes through all the departments.

Oxford is waiting for an assignment even longer. The Englishman last completed a game for the FCA in November 2022. The Englishman suffers from Long Covid and also had to struggle with recurring muscular problems. Previously, the defender, won by West Ham in January 2019, was a regular at the Augsburgers, for which he played 80 games (three goals).

Jensen’s farewell had already indicated weeks ago. In April the Finnish international was about to switch to the MLS club St. Louis City SC, which still failed on the last few meters. In the summer of 2018, Jensen contributed nine goals and twelve templates in 110 missions in 110 missions.
