Next Saturday, on 24 May, the SGP will hold its party congress. Usually they go quietly with the authority -abiding party, but now there is a motion to blow up quite a bit of dust. It is an adjustment of the basic principles of the party, where women would be allowed to be politically active.
This motion and the oldest party in the Dutch Parliament are about this in The Hague Affairs. You can hear from Pim van den Dool and Petra de Koning about the party’s position of women and how even within the extremely conservative SGP change takes place.
