“I had decided for myself that this would be my last season in professional football,” says Overtoom on the Rijnsburg Boys website. “I am a fan of the game, so I wanted to keep playing football. A club in the Second Division is ideal. You are going to train from five, to three times a week, but the level stays high. Now I have more time for a social career besides football. My son and daughter can now come and watch my matches on Saturday.”
