UNa Croatian city has found an innovative solution to solve the dilemma of the parents who work when there are no places available for public childhood assistance: paying grandparents to do it. Samobor, close to the capital Zagreb, has become the country’s first city to manage a “grandmother-non-non-non-non-non-nonal service, which allows grandparents to integrate retirement and strengthen family ties. Dubravka Koletic is one of them. The initiative is praise as “very positive for both grandmothers and grandchildren”.
