Now it is official: Dino Toppmöller is preserved Eintracht Frankfurt. The chief coach extended his contract until the summer of 2028 – only a few days before the ultimate royal class showdown in Freiburg.
Regardless of the outcome of this season, coach Dino Toppmöller prematurely extended his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt, which will expire in the coming year. The 44-year-old will be preserved by Eintracht until 2028, as the club announced on Thursday. “We have taken a very good development this season and our way together is far from over,” said Toppmöller, who stands on the weekend before his most important game as the chief coach of Eintracht.
Then the Frankfurter is about the Champions League qualification on Saturday (3:30 p.m.) at the fourth SC Freiburg. A draw is enough for the Hesse, in the event of a defeat, the Frankfurters threaten to slip from the third to fifth place. The Eintracht would then have to make do with the Europa League again.
Krösche: Toppmöller does “excellent work”
“The team made clear progress in all the game phases and in the tactical area. In comparison to the pre -season, a significant further development can be seen – both on an individual and team tactical level,” explained the extension of the contract. “An essential factor for this positive development” is the “excellent work” of Toppmöller and the coaching team, explained Krösche.
In the past season – the first season under Toppmöller as head coach – Eintracht took sixth place in the Bundesliga. This season, the Frankfurters have been among the top four teams for months.
