Dominique Gathier has appointed Dominique Gathier to the new Vice President Teamsport.
Gathier succeeds Matthias Bäumer, who took over the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Puma at the beginning of the year, and takes on this task with effect from May 15, Puma announced on Thursday. He reports directly to Chief Product Officer Maria Valdes.
The 45-year-old has been active for Puma for 19 years. During this time he held various positions in marketing and product development. Most recently, Gathier worked as Senior Director of Product Line Management for Team Sport Footwear and Equipment. In this position he was responsible for soccer shoe models such as Future, Ultra and King.
“With Dominique, an experienced manager will lead our business unit team sport because he was significantly involved in some of our most successful performance products,” said Valdes. “I am convinced that Dominique Pumas will continue to expand strong momentum in team sport and bring exciting new products onto the market: Inside -whether professional or hobby player: inside, teams and fans around the world inspire.”
As Vice President Teamsport, he heads the entire team sport area. He should ensure the development and implementation of product strategies. He will work with Puma’s partner: inside like clubs and associations.
The team sport area produces shoes, textiles and accessories for football and other sports such as handball, rugby and cricket.
