Small, light in color and with large ‘jaws’: the Mediterranean spin enloglognatha mandibularis has turned up for the first time on the Belgian North Sea coast. A few months later a copy was also found just across the border in the Netherlands. The southern species slowly settles in our dunes and that is no coincidence. “Probably due to climate change,” says Jorg Lambrechts of Natuurpunt.
