“If you realize how little time the day has received and look at the big problems of FC on the offensive, that’s very disappointing. The boy has never had a real chance to show what he can do.” This said consultant Dirk Hebel about his protégé Marvin Obuz in March. The 23-year-old only came to six missions at Cologne professionals this season and is about to leave in the summer, the contract expires. There is now interest from Arminia Bielefeld.

Obuz completed just 97 minutes for 1. FC Köln this season, most recently he was on the field in January and has not even belonged to the squad in the past four games. Last summer he had returned to his home club after an extremely successful loan to the third division Rot-Weiss Essen (25 scorers in 40 games).
Obuz could make a new beginning in Bielefeld next year. According to “Sky”, there have already been talks between the club and the player side. However, a final decision has not yet been made, and other clubs should still be on it. Most recently, there had been rumors about returning to Essen or a change to the 1.FC Nuremberg.
In the Arminia Forum, fans would definitely welcome the wing striker to be committed. TM-user “Birki12” writes, for example: “I would very much like to see him with us, but it makes me a little abdominal pain that he in the second [Liga] could not yet convince. ” In fact, Obuz is still waiting for a goal participation in the football sub-house in 15 missions for Cologne and Holstein Kiel (2022/23).
