The emergency services were on site shortly after the report and quickly got the fire under control. The situation was safe again around 10.45 am. Due to the persistent drought, there has been a long time to prevent re -flaring.
In total, about 200 square meters of dune grass went up in flames. The affected zone has since been released again. Nobody was injured.
The AG Coast Walk is currently working on the coast, the course was given a small change.
