The Spanish cyclist Mikel Landa has broken a vertebra because of his fall in the final kilometers of the first stage in the Tour of Italy. The leader of the Belgian team Soudal Quick-Step must remain in a stable position in the hospital of Tirana, the team reports in a medical update.
