From blockchain to digital product passport – the way to a circular textile industry requires intelligent and scalable solutions. Solution providers such as Aware, Tex.tracer, GS1, Bawear and Carbon Fact presented themselves at the last circular textile days. Five companies with different technologies and perspectives – but with a common mission: to enable more transparency along the supply chain.

Four perspectives, one goal

  • Aware Use innovative tracer technology and blockchain to verify textile flows-and to counter Greenwashing.
  • text.tracer makes social and ecological aspects visible in the supply chain – with a user -friendly platform for brands and producers.
  • GS1, Known for barcodes and standardization in retail, the industry supports the preparation for new requirements for data exchange, traceability and digital product passports.
  • Carbon fact provides a platform with which the CO₂ footprint of textile products can be measured and visualized-an effective tool for brands that want to make your sustainability reports based on data.
  • Bawear delivers reliable LCA data (Life Cycle Analysis), with which sustainability can be made measurable and comparable.

All five companies played a visible role in the event in 2024 – on the trade fair area, in conversations with participants and in content sessions.

Talking rounds as a catalyst

In the Associate Square, this topic was deepened in a roundtable discussion for transparency and tools-with participants such as Aware, Tex.tracer and Bawear. Companies such as Healixa (DNA-based traceability/ traceability) and Portance (tech-driven sportswear/ supply chain data) also took part to beat bridges between technology, regulation and practice.

In addition, GS1 organized its own round tabl with a focus on data standards, interoperability and the role of industry further agreements. The central message: Time isolated tools are over – it takes network and overview.
