For some time it was quiet about Lorde. At the end of April, however, her new song “What was what that” appeared – the start for her upcoming album. It is now clear: the musician is going on tour again in December.
New music since Lordes “rebirth”
Her new album Virgin has been announced for June 27 and follows her previous records Solar Power, Melodrama and Pure Heroin. With the single “What was that”, the 28-year-old already delivered a foretaste of the new project. In an interview with the “Document Journal”, she herself explained that it was “the first music of my rebirth”. Topics such as the end of a year -long relationship, the change and acceptance of one’s own body and a new examination of gender identities seem to have found the path of Lorde’s private life into their music.
With the upcoming album, the New Zealander also goes to “Ultrasound” tour at the end of the year and will come to Germany for three concerts. She said on Instagram: “I am very proud and I am pleased that I can bring my most talented friends to support.”
