Leroy Sané’s contract expires in summer. Apparently, FC Bayern would like to continue to extend with the outside player.
FC Bayern is still aiming for an extension of the contract with international Leroy Sané – despite its latest change of consultant. Sports board member Max Eberl confirmed on Friday that the club was interested in further cooperation. “Our wish would be to continue,” he said. At the same time, Eberl referred to the financial framework that was set internally. If he was blown up, “it would be very difficult,” said the sports director.
According to information from club circles, Bayern had already agreed with Sané to an extension to reduced covers before the winger switched to the agency of star consultant Pini Zahavi. “We have a very, very good relationship with both agencies,” said Eberl and emphasized: “There is no evil blood on my side, not even Leroy.”
The change of consultation was surprising for Bayern. “We thought that it was very far,” said Eberl. The association is out of the question to change the originally agreed conditions: “That would be wrong, otherwise it will make fashion.”
Trainer Vincent Kompany confirmed that he had already spoken to Sané. It was a “good conversation” in which he presented the player the sporting plans for the coming season. Company showed understanding of the situation: “It is an important moment in his career. I understand that a player is thinking and wants to check everything closely. And I also understand the club.”
Eberl commented on the continuing rumors around national player Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. He “didn’t really follow the reports because that would hinder me in my work,” he said. However, the topic is “all the time”. One will continue to work on the squad planning: “We have ideas, thoughts and see what is to be implemented.”
