A 20-year-old suspect of the art robbery in the Drents Museum stays in custody for ninety days longer. This has decided the council chamber of the Northern Netherlands court.
It is about the man from Heerhugowaard who was arrested on April 23. This is the man on the images from the Praxis in Assen that he would have visited two days before the art.
In total, the police arrested seven suspects. Three of them are stuck. The Public Prosecution Service has decided to release a 26-year-old suspect from Heerhugowaard.
Otherwise this man should have appeared before the court in Assen on Friday, together with two co -suspects. “He has not been involved in the implementation of the artok in the museum, but in the eyes of the OM had a supporting role,” the OM reports.
Four Romanian art treasures were stolen from the museum on January 25. It is a golden helmet and three gold bracelets. They are still without a trace.
According to the newspaper, the ‘undercovers’ offered 400,000 euros for the art treasures, on which the suspect broke the contact. He was finally arrested.
