The Cologne private broadcaster broadcasts selected games of the tournament in late summer thanks to the sub-license. Also included is an old acquaintance – who has a lot of experience.
A well-known voice complements the commentator team for the European Basketball Championship at RTL: Frank Buschmann will be in action for the Cologne private broadcaster during the tournament. The broadcaster announced on Wednesday. The tournament begins on August 27th.
The 60-year-old brings experience from various sports. He has already commented on American football for RTL, and he can also be heard regularly at the broadcast of the Pay TV broadcaster Sky. Buschmann, who once played basketball himself, also commented on games of the basketball Bundesliga for many years, as well as caps and games at World and European Championships, including for Sport1.
RTL shows selected games of the European Championship, including the games of the German national team as well as meetings of the knockout phase and the final. This is made possible by a sub-license that the transmitter has acquired from Telekom.
All games of the European Championship are also transferred to magenta. The games of the German team are available free of charge. Bastian Ulrich and Michael Körner are used as commentators.
