Bayern bosses take a position in the Sané case

The change of consultation from Leroy Sané was naturally not hidden from FC Bayern. What does that mean for the contract negotiations? The bosses express themselves.
Leroy Sané will be represented by star consultant Pini Zahavi in the future. At FC Bayern, this change is noted without publicly dramatizing it. The national player’s contract ends in summer. Sané could leave the club free of charge, but should like to extend the record champions.
Pini Zahavi, however, is considered a hard negotiating partner, which is also known among Munich. Bavaria’s club president Herbert Hainer sees the change of consultant at Leroy Sané meanwhile. “I don’t know his motives. We take care of the player and man Leroy Sané and not for the consultant,” said Hainer at the inauguration of the Franz Beckenbauer-Platz at the Allianz Arena. When it comes to contract extension, he gave himself confident. With Zahavi, the club “usually almost always found an agreement”. And: Sané “often said enough that he wants to stay,” said Hainer.
Zahavi, that emphasized Hainer, was “a tough negotiator. But these are other consultants. It is part of our daily business to deal with consultants, regardless of which strip and then achieve the best for FC Bayern Munich,” emphasized the 70-year-old.
Sports director Christoph Freund spoke openly about the challenge of having to deal with a new negotiating partner. “This is a bit of a new situation with a new consultant,” he said.
CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen also commented. He emphasized that negotiations with Zahavi are not always easy. “But that’s the way it is,” said the Bayern boss and took on a sports director and sports director. “We will see what will become of it.
