A cyclist was seriously injured in Hoogeveen in a collision. That happened during the afternoon on the Griendtsveensweg.
The cyclist wanted to cross the road to a supermarket when he was hit by a car. Local residents have been complaining about unsafe situations on Griendtsveensweg for a long time.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. The road is partly closed to traffic.
