“It is a concrete prestressed bridge of 27 meters, supplemented with two smaller U-bins of 60 tons each,” says project leader Ibbe Reynaert. “Everything has to coincide perfectly: foundation, bridge deck, traces, overhead line. It is a huge puzzle under time pressure.” The Bruggestraat in Oostkamp was completely closed to traffic for safety reasons.
