The BR Volleys once again crowned the master of the German volleyball Bundesliga. On Saturday, the Berliners also won the third final game against challenger SVG Lüneburg. In front of more than 8,500 spectators in the domestic Max-Schmeling-Halle, Joel Banks team won 3-0 sets (25:12; 25:23; 25:21).
The hoped -for revenge achieved the favorite. Both in the main round second leg in the Bundesliga and In the Champions League the Berlin Lüneburg had to give up – in the play -offs the duel was ultimately a clear matter.
It has been the ninth title win in a row for the volleys since 2016, in 2020 there was no VBL winner due to the Corona pandemic.

Sovereign Opening for Berlin

The MVP of the past two final games, Moritz Reichert, ultimately made the competitive sentence with his block to 25:23.

Crippling third sentence
Similar picture as in the sentence beforehand in the third section: The Lüneburgers held well against the reigning master, provided a balanced game. But through a hard block, the Berlin captain Ruben Schott brought the hall to a boil, the Berliners’ championship now seemed to be within reach. 13:10 led the favorite, Lüneburg took a break. In fact, the guests managed to turn the score: the SVG earned a 6-1 run with his back to the wall. But led by Schott and the Johannes Tille, who moved to Poland in the summer, the favorite attracted again, in the end Moritz Reichert used the second match ball to make a decision, the Berliners won the third set with 25:21.
