Lou JeanMonnot looks back on her biathlon winter more than a month after the dramatic season finale and talks about an “incredible adventure”.
Lou JeanMonnot celebrated a total of eight World Cup victories in the 2024/25 biathlon season. However, it was briefly not enough for the triumph in the overall World Cup.
JeanMonnot fell at the final showdown in the mass start at the Holmenkollen in Oslo and therefore had to give up Franziska Preuss. In singles and the persecution, however, the small crystal ball for the French jumped out.
JeanMonnot speaks of “heights, depths, challenges”
“A little more than a month after an intensive season full of emotions and learning experiences is time to say thank you,” said JeanMonnot with a review on Instagram.
“Thanks to my partners for their unshakable trust. Thanks to all of you for your support, your news and your energy, which have worn me all winter,” wrote the 26-year-old.
“Ups, depths, challenges … This season was also an incredible adventure thanks to you,” said Jean Monnot and assured that she was “more motivated than ever to write the sequel”.
JeanMonnot leads French biathlon team
Unsurprisingly, the overall World Cup second will lead the French biathlon team in the coming season. Julia Simon, Oceane Michelon, Jeanne Richard and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet also belong to the A-squad for 2025/26.
The upcoming biathlon season starts on November 29 in Östersund in Sweden. The highlight are undoubtedly the Olympic Winter Games in Italy (in Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo from February 6th to 22nd). JeanMonnot should then target gold, silver and bronze. The French ski hunter will also be one of the top favorites in the World Cup.
