Hansi Flick can take a deep breath: Marc-André Ter Stegen is back after almost eight months of injury. He will be in the Barça goal at the weekend.

FC Barcelona can count on Marc-André Ter Stegen on Saturday. The national goalkeeper will be back between the posts for the first time after more than seven months of injury -related break. This was confirmed by coach Hansi Flick before the away game at the bottom of the table Real Valladolid (from 9 p.m. in the live ticker from T-Online).

“Marc is on the right track, on a good level, I see it in his fantastic training,” said the German coach at the press conference before the game.

Ter Stegen seriously injured himself on September 22, 2024 in the league game against FC Villarreal. The patella tendon in the right knee forced the 33-year-old to an operation and a long rehab phase. As the captain of the team, he should now bring stability in good time to the end of the season.
