Five cars collided on Friday at the beginning of the afternoon on the A27 near Hank. The highway is therefore closed between Werkendam and Nieuwendijk, which caused a delay of 70 minutes in the direction of the Breda shortly before halfway.
It is unclear whether people were injured. According to Rijkswaterstaat, a recovery company is on the road to remove the broken cars.
The remaining traffic is possible via the emergency lane along the accident, but detour from the Gorinchem junction is faster, advises Rijkswaterstaat.
The other way, in the direction of Gorinchem, there is a 7 -kilometer traffic jam between Geertruidenberg and Werkendam. The extra travel time there is more than fifteen minutes.
